Awesome Sale

Squash Blossom on the Decatur Square is doing 50% off all Le Sport Sac items!! What a good deal! They have a bunch of different styles and patterns left. Soooo super cute. I really resisted the urge to get a new bag the other day when I was in there...but I don't know how much longer I can hold out...

How about you guys go check it out and buy it all before I do. Thanks!

It's Christmas time...

My roommates and I got a Christmas tree! We're such grownups now. We got him from a the First Christian Church in Decatur. They won out because they advertised FREE delivery for people in Decatur. We like free and we really like not getting pine needles and sap in/all over our car (we got a little heated talking about whose car the tree was going in...).

Isn't he so pretty?! We haven't named him (or did we...Allie, Jane??), but we definitely know that the tree is a he and that he will not listen to us and stand up straight! Here he is all decorated.
Can you tell he kind of leans? Oh well.

Next on the schedule is making wreaths and garland out of leftover branches that Lowe's will give you for free. Wish us luck!

Flavor-liscious

Just in case you were wondering...or not friends with them on facebook...The Yogurt Tap has two new flavors out!!!!

Peanut Butter and Banana

MMMMMMmmmmmm! Side by side so you can swirl them. The banana tastes so fresh and it's not overly sweet. The peanut butter is just to die for. Creamy, but not in a fatty kind of way. Oh goodness. It's just so good. Swirl the two together and add granola and chocolate syrup. Super tasty.

Is it bad that the people that work there recognize me now? I guess I should introduce myself the next time I'm in so that we can make it a more personal fro-yo experience....

Night night.

Our Favorite New Place in Decatur

I've mentioned it before, but in case you missed that post...we're in love with The Yogurt Tap! Yummy fro-yo goodness just a few blocks away from work. What could be better?!

Okay, for your first visit there, here's what to do:

Walk inside and read the directions.
Pick your yogurt from the six different flavors available (flavors rotate).
Walk over to the toppings bar and top your yogurt with things like fresh fruit, cereal, nuts, candy, coconut, chocolate chips, nutella, caramel, and more.
Pay 39 cents an ounce, find a spot to sit (inside or outside) and enjoy!
The thing that has amazed us the most has been how reasonably priced the yogurt is! The cups are rather large so you can put a good bit in there and it's hard not to go overboard with self serve, but we've yet to go over $3.50 and have always been satisfied with what we get. So, go check it out. Let us know what you taste or like the most. Now that we've been typing this up we're kind of getting a craving for it so we'll probably go get some tomorrow. Maybe we'll see you there? :)

Til next time,
J & J

New Restaurant in Decatur

"Combining the tastes of Spain with a fresh, eclectic, American social atmostphere".

The Iberian Pig is coming to 121 Sycamore St. (on the Decatur Square). Should be opening up later this summer. What is later this summer? Summer lasts awhile in GA. September? October? The menu looks pretty interesting. Not a whole lot of vegetarian options for us here at Squirrel and Fox, but enough for us to try it and see how it is. (J Fox can compare once she gets back from her Spain trip in a few weeks.)

Meat eaters - who's going to try the BBQ Octopus?? Ewww....Check out the rest of the
menu here.

See you later alligators,
