Great New Finds

We had lots of fun at the Virginia Highlands Summerfest this weekend and hope you were able to make it out. Between meeting up with friends, eating yummy festival food, listening to Cowboy Mouth and drinking cold beer, we found a lot of cool artists! We don't want to overload you with too much, so we picked the two that stood out at the end of the weekend. First up: T.M. Boyd
"Welcome to a land where all is not as it seems...I know that everything seems weird,
but it is not."
According to Tim Boyd, (and much to our delight) Water Bears do indeed exist! Check out his Etsy store if you don't believe us. These quirky creations were the most memorable to us as we left the festival Saturday evening. We fell in love with his eccentric critters as they brought out the inner child in us. We left his stall giggling like 6 year olds because we had just met the creatures from our imaginations. Here are a few of our favorite pieces:

The Fox Giveth by Tim Boyd

I Love Bacon by Tim Boyd
*We're both vegetarians so this particularly amused us.*

Channel Surfing by Tim Boyd

Next up:
talulah B. Girly, quirky, and fabulous, this jewelry is so much fun! As a local to Atlanta you can find her creations in a couple places all over the city, but as always, you can find her on Etsy. We loved her use of vintage pieces to make these fun cocktail rings as well as her handcrafted necklaces.

Check these out. Could those be old watch faces?

Having just finished The Secret Life of Bees, I was drawn to a necklace with a clear crystal and bee charm...and I couldn't walk away without it. :)

Make sure you check out talulah B. jewelry at the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival and maybe if it's not too hot the "real Talulah" will be out as well.

Until we meet again,
J & J
